The horsebox is not only wonderful to look at (drawing many an admiring comment!) but it is also sturdy and practical (particularly for the lone female traveller) with meticulous attention to detail.
It has also been an absolute pleasure to deal with you both throughout - your professionalism, honesty and drive to produce a horsebox that is "just right" for your client is impressive. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we freely discussed ideas to fit the (many) peculiarities of my horse to create the prefect environment for him. "Inspector Gadget" (David) is thoughtful, particular about quality and creative - my husband and I were in awe!
The proof of the pudding, as they say, is in the eating - Quinn travelled really well from the outset and is now quite at home. He eats his hay whilst travelling (a first) and, during his third journey, he even fell asleep - it is a miracle!

Having a 17.2hh warmblood meant I had literally spent hundreds of hours surfing and researching what horsebox I should get so that both of us were completely safe - after all should someone go into the back of you who wants half a ton of horse landing on your head! And boy was I surprised at the number of companies offering what was in fact a cardboard box on wheels – and one that didn’t look particularly nice at that.
Equi-star was completely different. Firstly they are a family run business and to support local business is always good thing in my book. But most importantly their spec is exceptional and without a doubt one of the best on the market. The safety of both the horse and passengers was paramount and had been carefully considered.
The attention to detail from both Karen and David was really impressive – they have horses and that really came through with the fantastic little touches such as:
* The screen so I could watch my horse hidden in the dashboard – helping to ensure no one broke in a nicked it thinking it was sat nav
* Extra safety lights on the back of the vehicle for driving at night
* A good base vehicle that even when you have your horse on board it still gets up hills easily
* An extra wide opening for my horse (who before I bought this box was a nightmare to travel)
* A lockable tack locker to keep my saddle safe when I’m at a show
* Easy to move partitions and ramps that mean I no longer need to drag the husband along to shows as I can do everything myself with ease (he’s delighted!)
But the aftercare was good too and on the couple of occasions I asked for help they were always on hand.
So all in all I would definitely recommend an Equi-star box."

I think it is a brilliant design with its low, wide and inviting loading ramp that opens up into a very light and inviting large horse area. My young horse is easy to load and travels really well and my 17 hand horse has plenty of space too. I also like the high breast bar and wide grooms door for safety and there is plenty of room in the tack locker and wardrobe. It looks really smart and is so easy to operate and drive. I have already had many admiring looks at shows when I leave the extra wide top ramp open for the horses to stand comfortably sheltered from the sun or rain! Many thanks"

"I bought my Equi-Star Horsebox last year when I decided that I wanted to transport my horses about myself without having to rely on my parents to drive our bigger lorry. We looked at many 3.5 tonne lorries and not one of them came close to the quality of the Equi-Star HorseBox. Not only is it stylish, it is so easy to drive for someone that has had no previous experience of anything bigger than a VW Polo! Along with being easy to drive, it feels super safe and sturdy to carry my big dressage horses and it is finished with such quality. Equi-Star can design lorries to suit your needs perfectly. Having owned a messy horse, I didn’t want their heads hanging over into the living area so Equi-Star provided us with a separate living area even corporating a sink and hob ready for those cold competition days when a cuppa is a must! Our lorry can even be used to sleep overnight in and I can vouch for it being comfy with the bench seat cushions converting into a mattress. Even though it is a 3.5 tonne lorry, I feel like I have ample space. We have a separate tack locker and plenty of handy wardrobes. Equi-Star has exceeded any expectations I had of owning a small lorry and their service is impeccable, making you feel totally at home and happy to help in any way possible. I would definitely recommend Equi-Star and am truly in love with my ultra cool horsebox."
